As most of you now know The Community School of Music closed on Dec 20th. It was with a heavy heart that we had to do this. But unfortunately, it was an economic and financial decision. I wanted to email all the students and parents to say a heartfelt thank you for a great 3 years of teaching, and learning. Your support has literally kept food on the table and roofs over the heads of us "starving musicians."

All of you have made a great and unforgettable impression on me as a teacher and as a person. I've learned more from my students that I ever taught them.  :  ) And have made some wonderful lifelong friendships too. We have been lucky to have had some of the best teachers in the Atlanta area, AND some of the best students ever. We hope that you have enjoyed your time at our unique school of music. We have also been lucky to have had some unbelievable concerts, art shows and musician clinics with some of the best musicians in the world.
I hope some of you were able to attend some of the 22 clinics and concerts that we put on over the last 3 years. Please know that as students you have been greatly appreciated. Being a private music teacher can be a very difficult thing to make a living at. So, I hope all of you will try to continue with your teachers wherever they go. The student/teacher bond can be a strong one.  And when you find a great teacher that you can relate to, it's a good idea to try to stay with them.

Please continue to make music study and involvement a continued part of your lives,  it is VERY important. It continues to be a joy and passion of mine even now after playing for over 25 years. I still even take a lesson myself every once in a while.  Musicians need challenges and always need new things to play and grow with. So please keep playing, practicing and studying!

Again, my deepest and most sincere thanks for all of your support over the years.

We will never forget our experience at The Community School of Music.

Take care, be well, and have a safe, happy and healthy holiday season

Sincerely,
